Question. 1. Verbal and non-Verbal communicationare supplementary to each other. Explain therelationship between verbal and non-verbal communication. (10 Marks)

Question.2.Are interviews necessary to recruit the right personnel for right place? Discuss the benefits and limitations of interviews? (10 Marks)

Answer:In today’s corporate world, if you want to maintain the excellence in the workplace and if you want to make sure that the quality and standard of the work is not compromised at all then this can only be ensured in the process of staffing and requirement. If you will recruit efficient employees then they would be able to offer you higher level of efficiency and this is also the best advantage that you would have in case of any diversity and problem in your corporate area.





Question.3.Read the case study carefully and answer the questions.

Jessica recently got promoted at Pune Branch of Boats Private Limited from an executive to Senior Executive into HRD department. She will be not reporting to the Regional Manager HRD – Maharashtra Region. She will also be attending meetings with recruitment agencies and other HR vendors. Most importantly she will be representing their branch office at quarterly meetings at the head office based in Delhi.

She will be meeting a lot of new people and will have to carry herself more professionally. However, she is nervous about making oral presentations at the quarterly meetings and also about presenting herself professionally while meeting new people.


a) What advice will you give Jessica for making her oral presentations effective? (5 Marks)

Answer:Jessica needs to work hard on the professionalism and efficiency levels. In order to make any oral presentation effective and impressive, precise level of skill development is needed. She needs to understand her situation and her powers.



b) Share some tips with her for exchanging visiting cards. (5 Marks)

Answer:In order to enhance the business opportunity and to gain better business area, it is important that you follow various techniques of customer interaction. Exchanging your visiting cards is also one of the most effective techniques that will allow you to keep all your interview fellows connected to your corporate circle.
