Subject Code: MJ0013
(Book ID: B0453)
4 credits (60 marks)
All questions carry 10 marks. Answers for 10 mark questions should not exceed more than 400 words.
Answer the following questions:

1- What should an interviewee remember before being interviewed (5 marks)? How can a potential interviewee prepare for an interview (5 marks)?[5+5 = 10 Marks]

Answer : Your Resume and Job/Professional References: But don’t just throw these crucial documents in your bag. According to Stein, linguists and psychologists have found that 93 percent of all communication is nonverbal. How you present this information says a lot about you.

“This is a sign you are open and honest as well as organized,” Stein says. “The more you show you are prepared, the more you are showing respect.”

2- Discuss the different types of interviews? (3 basic types worth 3 marks each. 1 mark for introduction)[1+3+3+3 = 10 Marks]
Answer : Getting ready for an interview isn't what it used to be. Now you must contend with many different kinds of questions and formats. Here are three types of interviews you may face and how to prepare for them.

1. Phone Interviews

Employers want to do things cheaply these days, so many conduct their first screening rounds with Ma Bell's help.

3- What are satellite interviews (5 marks) and what are the main things to remember when it comes to satellite interviews (5 marks)?[5+5 = 10 Marks]
Answer : Satellite Media Tours (SMTs) are where a PR company organises a series of one-on-one interviews with television reporters.

Media link described SMT's in its 2005 Annual Report as commonly comprising "Satellite media tours consist of a sequence of one-on-one satellite interviews with a series of pre-booked television reporters across the country or around the world. Satellite media tours typically involve an interview with an author, performer, executive or other spokesperson promoting an upcoming event, product, movie or book release." In its 2003 Annual

4- While preparing for interviews, how is the location of interviews important? Explain in detail.[10 Marks]
Answer : The interview is one of the most important elements in the job search process. When an employer invites you to an interview, he/she is indicating an interest in bringing you on board. The interview gives both of you the opportunity to exchange enough information to determine if you are a good "fit" for each other.
Think you can talk on the phone anywhere?  That might be true if you’re discussing dinner plans, but it is not true for your phone interview.

5- Write a long note on the FORK Method.[10 Marks]

Answer : Study design for journalism culture research provides challenges for appropriate methodological operationalization. Its complexity arises due to journalistic professionalism being a multi-levelled concept consisting of various journalistic values, tenets, and practices, which different journalism cultures balance in their own unique ways.[8] Research in journalism culture can be conducted within one nation, mostly led by journalism researchers originating from the country itself,[9] or in a comparative manner cross-nationally conducted with the help of international teams of researchers. Comparative

6- What are the tips for recording an interview? (There are 12 tips and you should mention all in detail)[10 Marks]
Answer :
1)      Know your character and story before you start filming

This is the most important part of the whole process: the investment in time and story makes multimedia storytelling stand out from the TV news parachutists. The best stories (Like Last Minutes with Odem are triumphs of access and trust).
