1- What are the various basic shots (5 types worth 2 marks each)?[5x2 = 10 Marks]
Answer : Shot classifications can be broken down into five categories: extreme long shots, long shots, medium shots, close-up shots, and extreme close-up shots.

Extreme Long Shots

An extreme long shot (ELS) is used to portray a vast area from an apparently very long distance. An ELS is used to impress the viewer with the immense scope of the setting or scene. An ELS is best usually when made with a stationary camera.

2- Describe the ways in which light can be measured in detail.[10 Marks]
Answer : Without a source of light, we cannot see; without surfaces to reflect light, there is nothing
to see. The terms below describe this relationship between a source of light, the surfaces

Shooting in low light, as with many other forms of photography, requires a bit of thought beforehand in order to get the most from

Answer : Photographic lighting is the illumination of scenes to be photographed. A photograph simply records patterns of light, colour, and shade; lighting is all-important in controlling the image. In many cases even illumination is desired to give an accurate rendition of the scene. In other cases the direction, brightness, and colour of light are manipulated for effect. Lighting is particularly important for monochrome photography, where there is no colour information, only the interplay of highlights and shadows. Lighting and

6- What are the different kinds of lenses available? Describe in detail.[10 Marks]
Answer : There are two main types of contact lens: soft lenses made of water-containing plastic and gas-permeable (or ‘rigid gas permeable’) lenses which are less flexible.

Soft contact lenses (‘hydrophilic’ or ‘hydrogen’)

These lenses, as their name suggests, have a soft structure – a bit like a piece of thick Clingfilm, making them very comfortable to wear. They are larger than their gas-permeable counterparts, cover the whole of the iris (the coloured part of the eye) and cornea (the transparent front part of the eye) and rest on the sclera (the
