ANSWER ALL THE QUESTIONS

Question.1. Explain in brief Five principles of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Answer:In artificial intelligence research, the situated approach builds agents that are designed to behave effectively successfully in their environment. This requires designing AI "from the bottom-up" by focussing on the basic perceptual and motor skills required to survive. The situated approach gives a much lower priority to abstract reasoning or problem-solving skills.

The approach was originally proposed as an alternative to traditional approaches (that is, approaches popular before 1985 or so). After several decfact, classical AI technologies face intractable issues, such as combination explosion,

Question.2. Define Hill Climbing. State drawbacks of this technique andsolution to overcome the drawbacks.

Answer:In computer science, hill climbing is a mathematical optimization technique which belongs to the family of local search. It is an iterative algorithm that starts with an arbitrary solution to a problem, then attempts to find a better solution by incrementally changing a single element of the solution. If the change produces a better solution, an incremental change is made to the new solution, repeating until no further improvements can be found.

Question.3. Define Expert System. State its advantages and disadvantages.Explain all the features of Expert System in brief.

Answer:Expert system is an artificial intelligence program that has expert-level knowledge about a particular domain and knows how to use its knowledge to respond properly. Domain refers to the area within which the task is being performed. Ideally the expert systems should substitute a human expert. Edward Feigenbaum of Stanford University has defined expert system as “an intelligent computer program that uses knowledge and

Question.4. State advantages and disadvantages of Frames.

Answer:Advantages and Disadvantages of Using Frames

Whether frames should be used in Web pages is a highly debated question. There are both real advantages and real disadvantages to using frames. Before you can decide if using frames is the right choice, you need to understand the advantages and disadvantages.

Question.5. Determine the guidelines for a problem to suit expert systemsolution.

Answer:An expert system is a computer program that simulates the judgement and behavior of a human or an organization that has expert knowledge and experience in a particular field. Typically, such a system contains a knowledge base containing accumulated experience and a set of rules for applying the knowledge base to each particular situation that is described to the program. Sophisticated expert systems can be enhanced with

Question.6. What are the factors affecting Learning Performance?

Answer:1. Intellectual factor:The term refers to the individual mental level. Success in school is generally closely related to level of the intellect. Pupils with low intelligence often encounter serious difficulty in mastering schoolwork. Sometimes pupils do not learn because of special intellectual disabilities.
